So sorry I haven’t been good about my blog updates this week. I was in Hilton head over the weekend, and right after the 5 hour drive back, I had to pack to leave for an early flight to DC. After we arrived, we dropped off our bags at the hotel and headed out for the engagement session. It’s been a busy couple days.
We got to finally meet John and Mindy for the first time. John was interested in photography and had found my blog a while back. We had corresponded over email for over a year, and it was nice getting to finally put a face to their names. As another first, I also got to see the Lincoln Memorial as part of their engagement session. Usually, I shy away from overcrowded locations like this because not only do most people feel awkward being intimate in front of tons of people, but also because it’s difficult to get shots without others in them. We definitely made an exception for them since it was the spot that John had proposed to her, and I’m a sucker for things like that. :) We were very lucky to get a few shots without people in them.

We had a great time working with them and exploring different areas of DC. We’re very thankful that they flew us up for their engagement session and that we got to hang out to have good korean food afterwards. We’re looking forward to their wedding in late August!
