Jacob and the Fu | Atlanta Music Photographer

As I mentioned yesterday, this past weekend, I had the opportunity to shoot for Kollaboration ATL.  It’s not often that I shoot many non-wedding events and it may not be my favorite type of photography, but it’s nice throwing something different into the mix.

Jacob and his brother Josh also performed this year and did a fantastic job, and I am very proud them.  Jacob is a very important part of Esther JuLee Photography.  Probably the reason why the company is even still around and doing as well as it is.  I do feel bad when I complain about working, because I know he still has a 9-5 day job, takes care of the business when he gets home from his 9-5, shoots weddings with me on weekends, and on top of all that still manages to play at local bars around Atlanta.  Oh yeah, and sometimes he leads worship on Sundays, too.  That is a hard working man.

This photo was when we were playing around a few hours before Kollaboration started.  It was the first time I used off camera flash with a self timer, and it’s not too shabby.  You only have so many hands when you’re a one-(wo)man show.

If you haven’t already, you can check out The Fu’s schedule here, their music here, and give them some love on their f fb fanpage here.  I even sang a song with them for fun, and it’s embarrassing that they haven’t updated their youtube with a new video.  Even if you see it and think I sound or look terrible in it, play nice and tell me it was the best video you’ve ever seen.  Hands down. :P

You can check back for a full post with more photos from the actual event later.  This week, I am hoping to get out a few e-sessions!
