We shot Jin and Don’s engagement and wedding this past February, and we all wanted to try something different… maybe more experimental for this third shoot in Alpharetta.  We love when shooting our couple’s weddings allow us to share many more important milestones in their lives.  This was an Anytime Session to celebrate just the two of them since they have their honeymoon baby on the way.  We’re very excited for them, and we can’t wait to visit them in Chattanooga & see their family grow.

Meet the Parks.  They are such a beautiful family.  I love how they laugh together.   They are just one of those families that are genuinely fun to hang out with no matter what you do.

Anju definitely keeps everyone busy and they have another baby on the way.  Anju is full of energy – always wanting to flip, jump, run, dance, talk.  She’s at that age where imagination runs wild.  While I stole Sunita and David away to take a couple photos, Anju and Jacob ran off to catch 6 fish, fix a bridge, play house, and draw in the gravel – all in 10 minutes!

Besides their contagious joy, David & Sunita also have a very servant-like heart – always willing to put others’ needs in front of theirs.  It’s amazing to see how they use their gifts and talents to bless others.

Wedding season has been rolling in fast.  Here’s a sneak peek of what’s to come in the next few weeks.

We’ve always wanted to do a cross-country roadtrip and finally decided to stop talking about it and actually do it!  I’ve made it a goal to hit all 50 states in the next five years, so this is only the beginning of our U.S. adventure.  If we’re in your area and you’d like to book a session with us, please contact jacob@estherjulee.com.  The photo sessions will be limited to only a few spots because of our schedule, but we’re always up for grabbing some good food/desserts too.  Here are our travel dates for July.

She is having a baby girl that’s due in the beginning of April, so we went out to the park last week to do a mini maternity session. She’s going to make a wonderful mother.

Meet the Walker family.  We did a family portrait session with them in Duluth over the weekend. Who knew a little simon says goes a long way!  More from this session next week!

Their son Noah, who is three years old, is a bundle of energy.  Hannah told us that even when he gets tired, you would think that he’d slow down, but it makes him even more hyper.  He was sometimes hard to chase down for a photo, but still lots of fun to play with and shoot when you catch him off guard. ;)   A lot of times it’s the in between moments that make the perfect photos.

And baby Eli, who is the youngest in An family, just turned 100 days yesterday.  That’s a pretty big deal.  We can’t wait to see the boys grow up and how their parents love for music and God will translate into their lives.  Noah already is starting to show Young’s humor by the things that he says…  :)

After a fun extended weekend of eating, eating, and then eating some more in LA, I’m coming back home tonight + maybe ten pounds.  I’ll have to work it off later insanity style.  Here’s our travel schedule and locations for the rest of this month:

Lucky for me, I met Nicole of Peachtree Weddings and Events while photographing Melinda and Ben’s wedding, which was a few months before my very own wedding.  I had never seen a wedding run so smoothly before, I’ll even throw in, in my life.  It’s not that nothing went wrong, it’s just how quickly she took care of everything, that it came unnoticed.  I was very impressed.  All up until that point, we had decided that we would take care of the wedding on our own.  I mean, c’mon, we’re wedding photographers.  We’ve worked in the industry long enough to know the ins and outs of a wedding.  A lot of the times we emd up “coordinating” the day anyways.  We can handle it, right?  The other option was having an organized friend with some wedding experience coordinate, but even then, I’d probably still be back seat driving the thing.  I had witnessed one too many mistakes and one two many stressed-out brides at weddings, and it left me with an unsettling feeling that I just might go bridezilla on someone.  This would not be ideal, especially for someone who considers themselves far, far from bridezilla, but I could already start seeing the inner monster creeping out.  It’s interesting what stress can do to a person.

Anyhow, after several conversations about wedding budget, finally I convinced Jacob to have Nicole coordinate the wedding, and I am so very happy I did.  I am really thankful that I was able to have the wedding of my dreams and to actually enjoy it.  I didn’t have to keep up with a million tasks, pick up any phone calls, nada.  I got to enjoy the day.  So thank you, Nicole!  We’re very grateful to have met you.  Happy Wednesday!
